Reasons why you should never turn your back on a toddler....

This morning, as I was getting ready to head out the door to take Bella to her first dance class, Cole wanted to take a picture of us. I guess I thought Tim was watching the little twins....he must have thought I was watching them.

Notice in the upper right corner of the picture....that's Garrett on our kitchen table. Notice Tim is right there in the kitchen with him but has his back turned. Notice I'm a few feet away in the family room with my back turned.

Sneaky little booger, isn't he?? Guess it's true what they say....when the cat's away, the mice will play....but how bad is it that we were both right there in the same room with him??!! That boy is gonna give me gray hair before the year is over.

OMG!!!! kids are so fast that made my heart jump in my throat lol My little one is fast too just learning to climb on furniture, made it up on the couch and tried to stand up I hurtled the gate and caught her just in time. Scared me more than her :-)

Sneaky little stinker! I told Nevaeh more than once to get off the table today. Mine seem to notice when I'm busy with the baby and that's when they get into trouble.
You are so pretty! :)

I have one that LOVES a marker. Her older sister (17) taught her how to make "tattoos" so now she draws on herself everywhere, especially her legs. Oh yeah, and sometimes she uses it as makeup...

That's a riot! They're so fast and always seem to know when you're distracted.

HA HA HA!
You are not alone my friend, this happens almost every time I go to the restroom, I come out and find baby 'M' on some table or chair! Never a dull moment in parenthood!

haha! That is so funny! I only have one tyke to watch and she does those things to me all the time. I can't imagine 4. The problem is toddlers are smarter than us. haha :0

Oh my gosh. That's hilarious. It would be a fun picture to do a contest to see if people notice what is not "normal" in the picture. When my boys were that age I could NOT keep them off the kitchen counter....for the life of me! :)

I found your site through a comment you left on my friend Elizabeth's blog (three channels). I love your family!!! I know there are a lot of scary moments like the picture moment...but I also know the fun and laughter must be great!

I have a 6 year old and then my two girls are less than 4 months apart. (That's pretty much twins status). But sometimes I sure wonder what in the world do we have in store for us?!!

You can be right in the same room and they still manage to hurt themselves. My oldest daughter was stepping back from the piano, fell over the bench, and broke her arm. We were all sitting there in the family room and saw it happen. I played it over a hundred times in my mind, wondering if I could have prevented it somehow, but it was just one of those freak things.

So what am I going to do with the Destructors?? They are way worse than my singletons . . . constantly climbing up, jumping off, and getting into things. Lord give me strength.

The great thing is that you got a picture of it! At least he wasn't trying to have a tea party with Ibuprofen.

We had that once.

(I was out of town.)

I figure that if the children are alive when my husband gets home at the end of the day, I've done my job.
