No matter where you live, it seems this winter season has made it particularly difficult to stay healthy. Almost everyone I know has been suffering from colds, viruses or the flu. And in my home, if one person gets sick, we ALL get sick. My husband can't afford to miss a day of pay from work and, as a mom, my kids depend on me to take care of them. So for me, it's important that I do everything I can to avoid becoming sick and/or run down. Recently, I was given the opportunity to review a product called Sambucol. It couldn't have come at a better time, just as cold and flu season were upon us.What is Sambucol and why is it so unique? Sambucol, developed by a world-renowned virologist, is a unique black elderberry extract rich in immune supporting flavonoids. What makes black elderberries more superior than any other dark-skinned fruit is that elderberries have the highest concentration of specific flavonoids called anthocyanins...2x more than blueberries and significantly more than cranberries. Sambucol Black Elderberry is the original elderberry product that has been researched and tested in published clinical trials showing it to help support the immune system. Sambucol’s unique formulation and extraction process preserves and maximizes the naturally-occurring health benefits of the berry.
When your immune system isn't working up to par, you get sick more easily, your body has a harder time fighting off allergies, bodily injuries are slower to heal and your energy level can be extremely low. Overall, you just don't feel as good as you could if you were healthier. When taken on a daily basis, Sambucol can help boost your body's immune system.
Since taking Sambucol every day, I definitely have had more energy and I just feel better, overall. With the exception of Landon (the pickiest of the bunch and the one I referred to as "sick child" in one of my recent posts), my other kids, Cole, Bella and Garrett were happy to take the Sambucol for Kids on a daily basis. Since starting this product, Cole and Bella haven't missed one day of preschool, while many of their classmates have been absent several times, due to illness. What I liked the most is that it has a pleasant taste that didn't send my kids running for the hills. This is especially important considering the FDA has made a claim that cold and cough medicines are no longer safe for children 4 years old and younger. It leaves most parents in a blunder of what they can give to their kids to help relieve cold and cough symptoms.
Sambucol is sold nationwide at major retailers and drug stores, such as CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid. You also have the option to purchase it online. Currently, when you visit the Sambucol website, you can download a coupon for $4.00 off any Sambucol product of your choice. There are a wide variety to choose from....look here to view them all.

how cool your first review you did great...I will go check out the site now...okay
while the cold and flu looks enticing i want to prevent it so i am going to go with the 'immune' version of the product
The Sambucol for kids would be awesome for Brayden, since he has been so sick! We are going to the immunologist on Monday to find out what's going on with his immune system. Congrats on your 1st giveaway!!
I follow your blog!
I am following you on Twitter and I tweeted http://twitter.com/BraydensMom0724/status/1199595980
I did not know about Sambucol for kids! I am hooked on this stuff from the ECB freebie @ CVS! I can't believe I never noticed they had it for kids! I will definatly be starting my 5 on it! I'm a follower and have you on my blog roll already!
I have to tell you...I read your "trip to the pediatrician" post to the hubby last night. He had tears in his eyes he was laughing so hard. What a great post!!!!!!!!!!
And Octo-Mom....yeah, I hear she is going to use her student loans to raise her kids. Then of course, she will default on that loan and declare bankruptcy again.
She is a whack job. Even my mother, the ORDAINED MINISTER thinks that the lady is a couple sandwiches short of a picnic.
Personally, I think the whole thing was a money making scheme. She wanted to be the next Duggar / John and Kate plus 8.....I bet she thought she would get a reality show out of this.
I hope the state takes the kids and finds real homes, where they can be properly cared for and nurtured. I mean, if we are all going to be paying to support this nutcase....shouldn't we get a say?
Arggghhhh....just want to slap her and her RE until the cows come home.
(but I'm not angry....I am blaming my toe)
Congrats on your first giveaway! Yaaa for you! I like the Sambucol® Sugar Free 4 fl.oz. Why? Because I'm on a sugar free kick right now and I think it's great that there is a choice :-)
I follow you on Twitter & you are on my blog roll of course :-)
Cool giveaway I've never heard of Sambucol. I would want the original for us since the boys aren't 2 yet, wonder if they can take it just a smaller does? Like tylenol?

i am a follower already.

Right now I could totally use some Sambucol cold and flu relief, but Sambucol for kids would help tremendously since my kids are always bringing something sicky home from school. Nice giveaway. ;)
I'm following...but not in a stalky way.
You're already on my blogroll. Cuz you're cool. ;)
I'd love to try the Sambucol Immunity one. I have been so run down for a long time now and haven't been able to figure out what's going on. I'm actually going to an endocrinologist next month to see if they can help. Maybe this Sambucol can do something for me. It's worth a shot. Great blog Helene. I honestly don't have any idea how you juggle everything!
Oh yeah, and I'm a follower. Thanks.
I have never heard of this, but I am always interested in things that will keep us healthier. I think the original would be good for us, since everyone in my house is over 4 years of age.
I am already one of your followers.
I would try the Sambucol®
Cold & Flu Relief. You can never have enough flu meds on hand before the ick strikes.
Maybe this is why the old ladies used to drink elderberry wine? Wait, it didn't work so well in Arsenic and Old Lace.
Hey-- thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I am now following your blog. Your double set of twins are very cute.

I now follow you on Twitter (I signed up for an account and I am following you, but I don't know what the URL of my tweet is...)

Very cool review! I will give you a shout out tomorrow.
I left you something on my blog today. Hope you like it!
Oooh! Sambucol for Kids would definitely be good in this house. I need to keep everyone getting sick. Because if they get sick, I'll get sick and if I'm sick the earth will surely stop turning.
Yay! Everyone loves free stuff :)
I will go for the immuse one.
I follow your twitter... which I didnt even realise you had!
And I also already follow your blog
I've never heard of this either. But if it will give me more energy - hook it up to the kitchen faucet!
Thank you for your blog about cough and cold medicines in children, as a dad and a doctor, I find children’s cough and cold medications a very scary topic.
There is a new cough product that has been shown to be safe and effective for children 1 and older. It is called Honey Don’t Cough, you should check it out and let parents know about it. www.honeydontcough.com

I am not interested in participating in your giveaway, but Sambucol looks like a great product. I'll have to check it out at my local pharmacy. Thank you for sharing!
the immune tablets look great
follower
I hate anything but a cold (I like being taken care of, so!?!!)
But I hate other bugs and flus, especially stomach, so the Immune tablets (liquids can taste icky) would work best here.
I want the one for kids! Jake came home sick today!
Thanks for the great opportunity to try this. I´d probably choose this one: Sambucol Immunity Booster
I´m excited about possibly winning the gift pack as all those products seem great too.

The Sambucol Sugar Free sounds great for diabetics and those watching calories!
I saw that it was gluten free. The immunity boost plus C sounds cool but like a true mom the kid's formula sounds the neatest.
I'm following but I would have without the promise of Sambucol ;) YOur posts crack me up!
The Cold and Flu relief would suit us best, especially since they are quick dissolve.
I'd like to try the Sambucol Immune Tablets for daily maintenance.. kids and adults. Thanks for the entry! This prize would be most welcome :)
