I'm not ready for all of this...

This is all happening a little too quickly for me.

All in one day....

-- my babies turned 3
-- my 5-year old son is driving the Envoy
-- my 5-year old daughter lost ANOTHER tooth

Bella wanted to show off her new smile...minus one of her front teeth. She's going all hillbilly on us.

And yes, her hair has shades of pink and blue in it. Don't even ask.

Don't let the happy face in this next picture fool you. I may be smiling on the outside... but on the inside, my brain is screaming, "WTF?!"

Okay, people...on that note, we've got a lot going on these next few days.

I have promised the little twins that I would make them each a birthday cake for their party this weekend...one wants Thomas the train and the other one wants Toy Story.

Why couldn't they like the same things...make my life a little bit easier? But where would all the fun be in THAT.

We're still finishing up the bathroom...tile is done, baseboards are done...now we just have to paint the beadboard and the chair rails and get them up on the walls.

It's gonna look amazing when it's done...I can just FEEL it!

So between preparing for the birthday party and trying to get the house in order, I'm gonna be a little scatter-brained (well, more so than I usually am...let's put it that way) for the next few days.

Please bear with me....again.

In the meantime, if you're in need of a laugh while I'm drowning in cake batter and paint...check out these posts written by some of my fabulous friends:

Jen at The Toy Box Years: How to be a good wife

Andrea at The Creative Junkie: First impressions on raising a puppy

Marianne at Diary of a Fickle, White Woman: Keith Morrison: Man of Mystery

Eva at Wrestling with Retirement: Sometimes the beat doesn't go on

If you aren't already reading their blogs, you are missing out BIG time!

And thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes for Garrett and Landon...still can't believe my babies are 3.

I'm gonna go cry now...

It's when he wants the car 'cause he has a date....that's when it gets really scarey! All kinds of room in the back of the Envoy!

It's so scary.

HAHA I used to drive the car on my dad's lap, too! I
I'd wait at the end of the drive for him to get home from work just so I could drive up the driveway and park it in the garage. Love it!!! And Bella is SO cute and rockin' the blue and pink... Tim better have the shotguns ready for her teen years ;) You, pretty lady, you look so gorgeous and happy and pretty and well, I just smiled when I saw that pic of you.

THANKS for the shout out!! You're THE best! I'm for sure going to check out the other funny posts :)

Have a great day purdy thang!

ps... I really need to stop using exclamation points and ... so much. But I really am that emphatic when I speak haha

My twins like to drive on my lap - they think it is soooo cool.

Have you ever looked into the pictures they put on cake - they do them in all kinds and you can buy them cheap off ebay.
I used them one year for a IronMan and Batman cake - actually they were for cheesecakes, but they worked just the same. (and made my life oh so much easier)

You are super mom...making the cakes?? Damn...my kids want you as a mom.

If you keep letting the 5yo drive, you're liable to end up with a lot more missing teeth.

Funny pictures of the kids. Good luck with everything at your house because you need to finish it before the party (sorry, I'm not trying to put some stress on you).

Of course they can't like the same things- that would be way too easy for you!

Love Bella's new look.. I want to hear more about the pink and blue in her hair!

Uh, it really does look as if Cole is alone in the Envoy driving. Too funny!!

I just love the way you casually slipped your 5yr. old was drivin' the Envoy! Heeeheheehe! Ya sure can keep a girl laughin'!

I love Bella's big smile. Cute...

Yep, you'll be up to your elbows in cake batter and have multicolored icing in your hair but girl I know that when the push is on you'll get~'er~done!

Have a great party, I can't wait to see the pics! God bless ya!!!

You know, now that I have kids, I realize that the party and big hoopla is just as much for poor mommy as it is for the kids!

There's a lot of t's in your post...tooth - Bella is absolutely adorable with her missing tooth. Tile - the end is almost there and I can't wait to see the end result. Trucking - as in "oh wow, look at him drive that truck!" Just think, in a few years, the reality of that will really set in. Twins and three....Love that they have their own cake preferences and that you make them their very own cakes. Toy Story and Thomas the Tank Engine - so boy like. At least you sorta have a theme there. Thomas can drive all the Toy Story characters.

And last but not least...you'll be tired but it'll be worth it!

Congrats on making it to 3 and I hope you're getting more sleep these days. Oh, I forgot, you've decided to remodel the house ... maybe you can sleep next year :))

Hope you had a fun weekend.

It seems like just yesterday...
You are an awesome mom to make 2 different cakes for the twins.

I figure that if the children are alive when my husband gets home at the end of the day, I've done my job.
