I ask them to clean up their toys, they say, "Mommy, release the Kraken".
I call them to the table to eat lunch, they say, "Did you release the Kraken?"
When the strong smell of poop permeates the air, Cole and Bella point to Garrett and Landon and ask, "Okay, which one of you released the Kraken?"
At first, it was funny...I will admit that. I was even feeding into it for awhile, playing right along with them.
But then they became borderline obsessed...Bella, a little more so than the others.
Thankfully, I think Cole's ready to release the Kraken and be done with it.
Who needs to go out to the movies when I have all the entertainment I could possibly want right here in my family room?!

LOL!!!! soooooooo funny.... love your post!!!!!!!!!
That is super cute!
Sarah ran in the kitchen when I was watching it and she asked "Mommeeeee, what is a Kraken?"
Now, she is asking her sister. You may have started something over here!
That is funny--when they smell poop, they ask "who released the Kracken"!!!
haha that is adorable.
So funny! I love your kids!
You could just release the kracken and get it over with.
Take them to the movie and let them realize that krackens aren't to be mucked with?
lol. I think I would have fun @ ur house. THat is sooo cute and funny! Glad ur having a good time with it too. haha! Realease the Kraken Im gonna use that @ work to drive my co worker crazy...I just found something to entertain me! mwahahahhaha
Leave it to the kids to beat the humor out of the dead horse, I mean Kraken. ;)
I love it at the end when Cole looks right at the camera. "Release the dang Kraken already!"
The video was hilarious! So funny...that is a catchy little line though. I may start saying that to everything. "Honey, did you wash my work pants?" "RELEASE THE KRACKEN!" Haha...I'm going to have fun with this!
That's funny! All I know is that my big girls are very "elementary" right now in their sense of humor. I suspect Cole and Bella would appreciate their humor and vice-versa!
By the way, that was so weird to hear your voice! I guess when I read your blogs I have imagined a completely different voice than what it really is! So I will have to change that in my head now. :)
Oh my goodness! That is too funny!
RELEASE THE KRACKEN!! ARGHHHH! LOL
How funny!
I have no idea what it really means. That Clash of the Titans movie looks awful to me. My husband wants to see it though :/ I'd rather see The Last Song.
Never a dull moment 'round your house I'm sure. Your kids crack me up! Heehehehe!
God bless ya and have yourself a terrific Tuesday!!!
I don't even know what that means but it sounds funny!
Seriously Hilarious!
You know, if I hadn't read your post, I'd still be thinking that he says RELEASE THE DRAGON.
Yeah, toward the end there I think Cole is getting a little fed up with the Kraken. Release it already!
You have some of the funniest kids around!
And, yeah, some of that stuff gets old really fast, but remembering it later will make you laugh all over again.
Now I'm thinking I need to pay closer attention the next time I see one of those previews, lol!
*LOL* I love your home movies. That's hysterical. THey are sooo gonna love you when they get bigger. ;)
I don't know what's funnier - the constant repeat of that phrase or your appreciation/laughter at it! I laugh *at* my kids all the time - they are pure entertainment!
You have such a fun family - I may need to consider that move!
Test comment 2 - this time hitting the "e-mail" follow-up thingy....is that what I'm supposed to do, Grasshopper?
I am SO out of the loop. I have never even heard of that commercial. I need to get on it, huh? Happy TUesday!!!
I loved the original movie and cant wait to see this new one. Oh well, hopefully anothe spiderman movie will be out this summer and the kracken will be forgotten.
I love your kids! (And I'm not fond of kids in general, other than my own!)
LOL!
I am so excited to see this movie, too, and now, after hearing your kids even more so!
Oh my goodness, you're kids are too much, especially about "releasing the Kracken" in the diapers! Typical older siblings: blame it on the youngest! So, do you think you'll see the movie? You could lip sync right along!
Your kiddos are always so cute & funny! I haven't seen this movie, so I was a little clueless....
Your kiddos are so funny!
I can't help but laugh!! I'm sure it does get old, but it's still funny!!
LOL!
so cute!
no idea what kracken is...but too funny!
Releasing the kracken is pretty damn funny!
Well, they are adorable of course and I would take adorable children screaming,"Release the Krackon." over my 30 year old sorta boyfriend saying it over and over again. I predict he makes it dirty within the next three or four days. Oh, hell, maybe 3 or 4 minutes.
That's hilarious! You're kids are so funny. This is exactly something my husband would do. I think his real age ranges from 4 - 12 depending on the day.
hahahaha That is TOO funny!
A guy I work with has "Release the Kraken!" as his alert when he gets a text message. After 3 days, it's gotten old!!
Okay, I'll be the one to ask.....what's a kracken?
OMGOSH! That is too funny! As soon as I saw the title in my blogroll, I knew EXACTLY what it was from! LOL (I LOVED the original movie when i was a kid!)
It is always so funny to me what kids especially this age get hooked on....why could they not get hooked on thing like "yes, mommy I would love to do that :)"
The video is so darn funny!!!
Those post was perfect with the video! Your kids are hilarious!
My daughter heard it and came running. She asked who was in the video and I said "Cole". She said, "because he gets a lot of colds?". She is 3.
Silly question, do you like your tv above your fireplace? We are thinking about putting ours above our fireplace, but we were afraid it would be too high.
