Yes, it's really time to start thinking about holiday cards....GIVEAWAY!!

Last holiday season, I totally sucked.  There, I said it.

I was that person who didn't send out cards, causing some friends and family members to call and ask if everything was okay....because I'm usually the first one to send out them out.

"Uh, yeah...I'm alive and all's well.  I'm just lazy and I suck," was my automatic response.

This year, I vowed to send out cards...striking fear in my heart because now there was immediate pressure to take the perfect family picture.  And if you saw my recent post where we went to the Pumpkin Patch, you'd understand my anxiety.

Thanks to the folks at Shutterfly, I needn't worry too much because they have so many wonderful designs to choose from...making the process of selecting just the right holiday card so simple.

In fact, I used Shutterfly to design my 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 holiday cards.  2006 was the BEST because that's when we were expecting our 2nd set of twins and there were still some friends and family who hadn't yet heard the good news!

Personally, I prefer the photo Christmas cards, such as this one:

And this one, which I REALLY like because there's an eloquence about it:

In addition,  you can add your own personal message to the card, if you like...or keep the one which is already printed.   The actual process itself is very simple and it only takes a matter of minutes to design your holiday card.

DO YOU WANT TO WIN 25 FREE HOLIDAY CARDS??

The generous people at Shutterfly have provided me with promotional codes to offer to THREE of my readers!!

All you have to do is leave a comment here telling me when you usually send out your holiday cards!

Yep, that's it (and be sure to leave your e-mail address in your comment if it's not visible in your profile)!

For extra entries: (leave a comment for EACH extra entry or it won't count!):

1)  Visit Shutterfly's selection of holiday cards and tell me which one is your favorite.

2)  Like Shutterfly on Facebook.

3)  Follow Shutterfly on Twitter.

4)  Follow my blog via GFC.

5)  Tweet about this giveaway by clicking the TWEET button on the upper right hand corner of this post.

This giveaway will end on Friday, November 11 at 9:00 pm PST.  Winners will be chosen randomly and notified via e-mail.

* Shutterfly provided me with a promotional code for 50 free holiday cards; however, the opinion expressed here is my own based on my personal experience with the company and their products.

I pride myself in getting my cards out the day after Thanksgiving. I send out 150 cards and always with a family photo. Yep, I'm already addressing (by hand) and writing a personal note in each one). I will use a picture from my daughters wedding which takes place next week, in my card. Annoying and obnoxious on the Christmas card front. Yup, that's me. But actually, it's more about the fact that if I didn't keep in touch that one time a year, I wouldn't have any friends or family because I'm a recluse the rest of the year!

We try to take our holiday pictures over the extended weekend following Thanksgiving. My goal is to mail out cards by the 2nd week in December, but that doesn't always happen.

I send mine out way too early! I'm the annoying one who you receive a card from December 1!

My favorite is Simply Love because it would fit perfectly for a twin picture and a picture of each of them. My second favorite is Joy + Love since it has just one big picture.

I'm embarrassed to say that we have never done any Christmas Family Card ever. My profile picture is the only other time we've ever had any family pictures taken. The first one was when the kids were still in Middleschool and Elementary.

I usually DON'T send out holiday cards even though EVERY YEAR I say that I'm going to. This year, since our first munchkin has arrived, I feel as if it's mandatory. So my plan is to send them out any day before Christmas!

I always try to send them out before Christmas (yes that does include dropping them in a mail box on December 24th - technically that is before Christmas). I have even been known to send them a few days after Christmas if it comes down to it or even skip sending them. Any ideas on what you do with 50 photo cards you never sent???
