I want to cry for you, but damn woman. You are not the only one. lol. Better get Tim's ass to work. I expect to see more pics tomorrow and that mess better be gone.
Maybe you can use some incentives for Tim to have him help. It works in my house
And yes, I would twitch - my lounge looks like that with these two and I make them tidy before they can get their milk (they'll do anything for that milk LOL) :)
Kids happen that is what. Everynight we always get everything all picked up and clean. I took a picture of my family room one day at 7:45 AM, my kids woke up at 6:40 AM and it was already trashed! What the??
I know that feeling! I have been sick for over a week now and I haven't felt like cleaning, cooking, or picking up ANYTHING! Just get a "Sorry for the mess but we live here" sign and it's all good. :)
I can see we have two things in common. First, the house can get destroyed in a limited amount of time. Second, you shop at the same places we do, probably mostly Target. I recognize at least ten items in your photos that are at our house as well.
This is what my house looks like right after I pick JDaniel up from preschool. I cleaned his room while he was gone and he dragged all the toys right back out again.
Yes, but your cabinets and backsplash are still gorgeous! ;)
I am reeeeally trying to get some of the clutter under control in our house. I'm proud of what I've done in the past week, but it sure would go a lot faster if people (er, Husband) wouldn't go around after me and make messes where there was clean space! It's 2:30, the girls are napping, and the countertops are clean. Let's see how long it lasts when Hubby gets home! HA!
OK so when I have my bloggy bonfire DONT come in my house if what yours looks like gives you the shakes.. Just warning ya lol. I have 3 teen boys and one of their friends, 3 dogs that come inside and a washer that wants to go on strike.. ahem
That's not bad at all! Seriously, if I can figure out how to load pictures from my phone onto the computer, I will send you the recent pictures of my kitchen. I want to cry! There is no excuse for a household that has a 17 year old and not little like yours...to mess up and not clean up. I'm about done!
Relax though. No one will judge you by the mess. The kids are happy, right? Maybe in time, they will see that they are dirt magnets and want to make a change for the better. Then again, can you wait until they graduate and go to college??
It's maddening isn't it. Since I've been staying home, I feel like it's my duty to make sure the home is so clean that you would feel bad farting in it. But I have a 3 year old with fingers of disaster and a husband who leaves socks on the kitchen counter top. Ugh I actually wrote about this for my saturday confession
I have only two of them and I just looked around my living room....turned the lights off and closed the door. This cleaning stuff is seriously cutting into my blogging time...not cool, lol
I love it...great work, lol!! I have just found your blog and feel like i have come home!!! How lovely to see someone who writes about real life with twins....i only have one set and my house looks very similar at the moment...off to follow on gfc now that i have found you!
I have 4 kids, 3 at home and I can so relate. Yup, this looks like my house too. I just did my confessional post and shared a pic of my kitchen counters this past week. Have a good weekend and hopefully you dont get stuck cleaning it all up by yourself.
Ohh man!! Bummer. Is it bad if my house looks like that pretty often and all I have is a husband and a puppy?! One of many reasons I am not ready for children just yet...
Aw, that's nothing. LOL I've been helping my daughter after her house was 'tipped upside down' in order to install new floors and gut the kitchen at the same time. Looking for a cup ... um maybe in the office? Where's the cereal ... oh that's easy ... in the linen closet. Hahaha ... and don't even get me started on the dust. But seriously, your's is what a lived-in home actually looks like. Don't beat yourself up because most of the stuff seen on blogs is staged and/or cleaned up for the pics. Love reading about your family.
I know! How does that happen in such a short period of time? Ugh. It's like looking in a mirror - maybe I should get off the computer and go fold clothes or something. :)
You can do what I do - I gave up on cleaning until my husband gives up and gets us a cleaning lady. I mean, that's why God made cleaning ladies, right?
Sigh is right. And since there aren't enough hours in a day, I think I might just go ahead and go to bed tonight. Because as Scarlet said, "Tomorrow is another day." :)
That's how my house looks when it's "clean"! I don't even bother anymore. Unless the sitter or the in-laws or the neighbors or anyone really is coming over. It's exhausting!
Your house looks just like mine. In fact, I'm frantically cleaning it up (when I'm not blogging that is) because we have an appointment this afternoon.
Isn't it crazy that we spend so much time cleaning? I can only hope our kids don't end up being hoarders when they grow up because they sure act like ones now.
Did you see Scary Mommy's post today? She did one on how she hates pinterest and compared the rooms in her house to the ones she's found on pinterest...I'm glad I'm one of the normal ones (like you)!

I can't get past that beautiful kitchen.... :)
And yes, I would twitch - my lounge looks like that with these two and I make them tidy before they can get their milk (they'll do anything for that milk LOL) :)
That looks pretty familiar... Only my twins are young enough that the predominant color scheme in my home right now is "Fischer Price."
It's amazing how quickly children (and men) can make an absolute mess of a clean house!

Ya don't expect it to 'stay' clean 'round four very energetic kiddos do ya. How 'bout the Tooth Fairy or backyard knomes? Heeeheehhe!
Hon, ya know what what a freaky clean gal I am and ya should see the place when the eight grandkiddos leave!!! Truly, your place...not so bad! :o)
I love, love, love (that's three loves now) your kitchen. Mine is very compact!
God bless ya and have a phenomenal day.
Holy cow! I guess that's what 4 kids can do in no time!
LOLLLLL...
Your house looks just like my house. Only less stinkbugs. Wanna trade?
Preach it sister!
I’ve just awarded you the Versatile Blogger Award!

the joys of having 4 kids never end! lol

My house is hardly ever clean. With my 3 kids and 2 kids that I watch after school, it is amazing that we can open the front door sometimes!
I too love your kitchen! my house get way worse..lol start with 1 room at a time :)

What a MESS! My husband would never have our house looking like that--it would make him nutso! I like things put away too.
This is where you throw in the towel, sit down and drink wine.
Quit sneaking into my house and taking pictures. Geez.
;-)
Okay, all you need is a kid sitting in the middle of the kitchen table playing with a pair of scissors and you would have a picture of my house.
Yes there're not enough hours. *sigh*
I'm just so glad its not just me. I'm starting to think the cleaner it starts, the faster it all just goes to hell. Lol
Oh man. I know!!!!
I love your floors!! They are beautiful
Love that you posted this! I feel so much better now! I figure my house will be clean in about 20 years!
Oh no! You really do have your hands full!
I feel so much better about mine now, my twins will be 4 next week. It gets easier right? RIGHT?
Oh no! Abby can sure make a mess here, but at least she doesn't have 3 others helping her! LOL! We call it hurricane Abby!
I have only two of them and I just looked around my living room....turned the lights off and closed the door. This cleaning stuff is seriously cutting into my blogging time...not cool, lol

Friend, I have TWO kids, not four, and my house looks just. Like. Yours. ;-)

We are currently in the process of moving...I'm too OCD for the mess my house is in. Trying to ignore it...not working.
Hi, my name is Heather! Please email me when you can, I have a question about your blog!

Ohh man!! Bummer. Is it bad if my house looks like that pretty often and all I have is a husband and a puppy?! One of many reasons I am not ready for children just yet...
I clean and clean and it never stays that way..EVER!
It only takes about an hour for my house to get like that after I clean it.
I think that it is perfectly acceptable to have some clutter around with all those little ones running around!
My house is still worse!
Aw, that's nothing. LOL I've been helping my daughter after her house was 'tipped upside down' in order to install new floors and gut the kitchen at the same time. Thanks so much for your comments on my blog Helene...she has returned now and we are all getting on with life after a huge scare thank goodness!xx
AHHH,
now I feel much better about myself.
Thank you. Xxx
wanna have some wine together?

This makes me feel so much better! I thought my house was the only one that looked like a tornado hit it!

It happens in the blink of an eye.

Three words: Life with kids.
Sigh. :D
